Limitation of Liability Hearings

CLAIM OF MARGARET BROWN - Cont.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA : ss :
SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK:

E. POWIS JONES being duly sworn, says: I am the Proctor for the claimant in the above entitled matter; the above claim is true to my own knowledge except as to the matters therein stated to be alleged, upon information and belief and as to those matters I believe it to be true.

The reason why this verification is made by me and not by the claimant is that said claimant is now without the County of New York in the Southern District of New York, where I reside, but is now sojourning in the Empire of Germany. The sources of my knowledge and the grounds of my belief are correspondence by my office staff with the claimant and a statement in writing of claimants loss made by her and in my possession of which the annexed Schedule A is a copy.

 Sworn to before me this
14th day of January, 1913.

E. Powis Jones (sig.)

Emanuel J. Stern (sig.)
